Cops for Cancer take support to the next level

First responders play a leadership role in organizing the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer events by involving the community in fundraising and cancer awareness activities. This year, they increased their efforts by recognizing the key role that blood transfusions play in the treatment of cancer patients. The group joined Canada’s Lifeline by rolling up their sleeves and donating blood. To make the event even more memorable, Crystal, a cancer survivor, was on hand to meet these brave and selfless first responders and thank them for all that they have done and will continue to do.
