Thank you to all of the valued partner groups and organizations who helped us raise awareness for World Marrow Donor Day (WMDD). WMDD is celebrated globally on the third Saturday in September.  It is an opportunity to raise awareness of the opportunity to become a stem cell donor and the impact of blood stem cell transplantation on patients’ lives.  It is also a great time to thank all stem cell and cord blood donors, and those who have joined the registry. Canadian Blood Services is dedicated to recruiting healthy and committed volunteer unrelated stem cell donors. Everyone who registers to donate is providing hope to patients who are waiting for a stem cell match in Canada and around the world.
