New online platform makes community fundraising easy
By launching a community fundraising campaign, you can make it possible, in more ways than one, for even more people to play a role in the efforts of your Partners for Life team. It’s also an easy way to amplify the lifesaving impact that your team is already having. And thanks to the new and improved fundraising platform at give.blood.ca/fundraise, doing so is now easier than ever.
This tool allows you to choose your own fundraising adventure and invite those in your network to support your team’s efforts.
Some features of this new platform:
- Simple-to-use process for creating and customizing a fundraising page for your Partners for Life team.
- Ability to import contact lists and send customized emails right from the platform’s participant centre.
- Flexibility to use the platform for a specific event or on an ongoing basis — giving people the opportunity to support your efforts year-round!
When should I consider fundraising?
If your team is hosting an event, recognizing a milestone or hosting a celebration, you can easily add a fundraising component. For example, if you’re organizing a group donation event at one of our centres, why not amplify your impact by setting up a community fundraising page? Or perhaps you simply want to share your story and explain why donating is so important to you, as a lead-in to inviting others to consider all the ways they can give to Canada's Lifeline, including financial giving. This new platform was created to make the process simple for you.
Why does fundraising matter?
Community fundraisers help save lives, just like blood and plasma donors do.
As just one example, it's thanks to financial supporters that we are able to fund award-winning research, bursaries for the young leaders who are helping to recruit new blood and plasma donors, awareness initiatives encouraging stem cell donation — and so much more.
