When my sister was 42 years old about 32 years ago she was diagnosed with Leukaemia and was told she could live 5-7 years and was still working..she was not married with no children but as the years passed she was getting worse and the only help she could get was a blood transfusion…she perked up still at work bit about every month she had to go to the hospital for her blood transfusion…in her 7 th year of having leukaemia she got sick with pneumonia and passed away …it was when she was getting her blood transfusions it made me realize I would start donating blood to give back to someone else who needed help..every time I leave from donating I smile as I leave knowing I have helped someone live a little longer
