I began donating in high school with my father, he was an avid donor. I learned about the compatibility of various blood types and specifically the uniqueness of O-negative donors.
I believe it is an absolute gift to carry such a unique blood type within me. For myself, I consider it a personal obligation to donate knowing the universality of O-negative blood.
In my experience donor clinics are designed to be a simple and smooth process at from start to finish. The many wonderful staff and volunteers are what keep me coming back. They are always so thankful for each donation.
Donating blood has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had the fortune to share throughout my adult life. I feel very lucky to be able to share a part of myself to help others.
The feeling of giving back is special and what I consider the good stuff in life.
My O-negative obligation
