My wife had just given birth to our second child. She was losing a lot of blood due to hemorrhaging. The hospital staff gave her lifesaving blood and she is still with us to this day. I could have lost her that day, but thank God I didn't. Ever since then I have been donating blood and that was 24 years ago. It is my way of saying thank you to the person or people who donated blood that contributed to saving my wife's life.
