Stacey LaCroix-Sauvé
Manitoba, North Eastern Ontario, and Nunavut
In just two short years as a peer recruiter, Stacey has made a significant difference in patients’ lives. In fall 2012, she took on the role of promoting clinics at her workplace, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. Since she became involved, Canadian Blood Services has seen a 13% increase in collections at Foreign Affairs, and more than 63 new donors attending those clinics.
Outgoing and motivated, Stacey also used her strong leadership skills to organize and recruit for a OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network event in 2013 at Foreign Affairs. With the help of volunteers she herself recruited, Canadian Blood Services was able to collect 59 swabs.
A blood recipient herself, Stacey is a young and cheerful advocate who exudes an ongoing passion for giving back to the blood system that once helped her.
