Deb Chalmers
Winnipeg, Man.
"I love my job; what more can I say. Working with the Partners for Life Champions is just the best. Every day is different and some days — don’t tell my boss! — I could do this for free. The Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon donor relations teams are great to work with, and I accept this award for all of us.”
Earlier this summer, Canadian Blood Services employees across Canada nominated colleagues as part of the Living Our Values program, recognizing coworkers as role models who exemplify the organization’s ICARE values of integrity, collaboration, adaptability, respect and excellence.
This year’s national recipient is Deb Chalmers, a group booking clerk and 21-year veteran of Canadian Blood Services.
Deb has been described as a team player, committed to providing the best service to partners and donors, and
an incredible asset to her team. She is passionate about her work and fulfilling Canadian Blood Services’ mission; and exudes enthusiasm and respect in every interaction with Partners for Life Champions, donors and volunteers. In addition to booking groups for donation events, Deb plays an integral role in organizing the annual regional Honouring Canada’s Lifeline awards ceremony.
Many members of Deb’s team have personally attributed her outstanding and consistent performance to their overall success.
