When Kent registered for the OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network in 2014, he knew that as a young male he could very well become the perfect match who would potentially save a life. That opportunity came faster than he imagined. The same year, Kent was elated to learn that he had been flagged as someone’s ideal match, and their best chance at survival. Dedicated and selfless, Kent ended up donating three times to the same recipient, who each time was in urgent need of additional stem cells. As a busy university student, it was no small feat to make time; however Kent did so without hesitation. Kent’s family traveled from Ontario to Nova Scotia to be at his side when he made his first donation.
