Vice President, Plasma Operations

Under Elizabeth’s leadership, the plasma operations division works to increase plasma collections at Canadian Blood Services to meet the rising demand for immunoglobulins, to ensure these lifesaving biologic therapies are available for patients in Canada. Known for her collaborative approach, Elizabeth maintains her team’s focus on moving Canadian Blood Services’ plasma collection program forward in a complex, competitive environment.  

Elizabeth has been a trusted leader at Canadian Blood Services for many years, first joining the organization in 2006. Since 2017, she has worked tirelessly to shape the plasma operations division and drive its strategic direction. She has led the opening of the new plasma donor centres across Canada and has driven a more efficient process to collect plasma at Canadian Blood Services forward.  

Before joining plasma, Elizabeth led a high profile, high stakes project within the Organ Donation and Transplantation group for the design, delivery and realization of the Canadian Transplant Registry — a system that provides critical real-time data for national organ listing and sharing. Before joining Canadian Blood Services, Elizabeth worked for Bell Canada, a national telecommunications company, where she held management roles in business planning and corporate communications.  

Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in business administration (MBA) at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
