What are the donation recognition milestones and levels?
One of the ways we express our gratitude to donors is through our national donor recognition program. As a donor, when you reach a donation milestone and reach a new level of recognition, we make a point of acknowledging your contribution, whether that’s with a recognition pin, a card, a certificate or other items of appreciation.
If you reach a new level of recognition and are enrolled into the pilot program, you will receive an additional 5 points in your account. The donation recognition levels are 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 250 and every 50 donations thereafter.
Do my points ever expire?
The last day to collect points is February 28, 2026. You will have until March 31, 2026, to redeem your points. Any remaining points in your account will be forfeited after this date.
If you opt out of the pilot program, you will not collect any points going forward. Existing points collected will remain in your account until March 31, 2026, or until the program is discontinued, whichever comes first.
Canadian Blood Services reserves the right to modify or end the Donor Recognition Pilot Program at any time. If the pilot program ceases to operate prior to February 28, 2026, existing points collected will remain in your account until March 31, 2026. Any remaining points in your account will be forfeited after this period.
