Help us improve

Your experience and feedback help us improve and grow Canada’s Lifeline. We encourage all volunteers to participate in regular meetings, take part in national surveys and provide feedback on their experience.

Donor centre/mobile donation event volunteers

Greet donors with a smile, engage in conversation and ensure they feel at ease throughout the donation process. Your care and attention are often why donors return. As one of the last faces donors see before they leave the donor centre, you can play a critical role in helping donors feel they’ve made a meaningful impact that day. Volunteer leadership roles at our mobile donation events help us promote within the community and schedule volunteers to assist at the events.

In-community volunteers

Our in-community volunteers are essential in raising awareness about Canadian Blood Services. They promote donation events and inspire others to join Canada’s Lifeline. Even if you’re not a formal volunteer with our organization, you can support us by following @CanadasLifeline on social media and sharing our posts with your followers to help raise awareness.

Post-secondary volunteer teams

Our post-secondary clubs are dedicated to recruiting donors on college and university campuses. They plan and implement unique initiatives to engage students, school staff and other supporters in various ways to support Canadian Blood Services. Campus advocates can have a major impact.

Stem cell volunteer recruiters

These recruiters are vital in helping us grow Canadian Blood Services’ Stem Cell Registry. You’ll educate and raise awareness at community recruitment events, assist potential registrants through the process and help them complete their cheek swab for registration. Stem cell recruiters directly impact patients searching for a lifesaving stem cell match.
