World Quality Day 2016

(OTTAWA) – Canadian patients depend on us to manage a safe, secure and cost-effective blood system. We bring quality to every aspect of our work — from collecting, testing and manufacturing blood, blood products and stem cells, to providing transfusion and transplantation services, to creating and disseminating knowledge and to conducting ground breaking research.

Nov. 10 is World Quality Day, designed to increase global awareness of the contribution quality makes toward organizational and national growth and prosperity. Quality has always been the guiding principle in everything we do. It’s what links us to our goal of consistently providing safe and effective products and services to patients that depend on them. In doing so we provide a safe and satisfying experience to our donors. And ultimately, it allows us to improve patient outcomes, enhance health system performance, while optimizing cost efficiency.

We are proud to earn the right to serve Canadians. As we celebrate World Quality Day, not only do we look back on the successes we’ve achieved so far through continuous improvement, we also look ahead, eager to seize every opportunity to further improve the quality of all that we do.
