Overview

Canadian Blood Services’ OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network is taking steps to increase transplant opportunities for patients by collecting and storing umbilical cord blood stem cells from Canadian donors.

Work is actively underway to establish the OneMatch Public Cord Blood Bank. Ottawa area parents will be able to donate their babies’ cord blood by April 1, 2013, followed by Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver by the fall of 2014.

Canadian Blood Services is launching a major financial gifts campaign entitled ‘For All Canadians’ and will offer communities from coast-to-coast an opportunity to help raise 12.5 million over the next three years.
