If you have the following symptoms, you will not be able to donate blood today:
Do you have:
a fever of 38° or higher,
OR
at least two (2) of the following symptoms:
- Dry cough
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Sore muscles or joints in the last day or two?
YES. Then please stay home and book an appointment to donate when you feel completely well. You may also wish to contact your treatment provider.
You are most welcome to donate when you feel completely well and meet the usual Canadian Blood Services criteria. Donated blood is needed to save lives every day. Attending blood clinics should remain a priority for all who are healthy, including donors who have completely recovered from the flu.
